Hymn of the North

So the fire burns
And with it burns the flayed man
The Wolves are back
With the wild clan.

Hounds chew their own blood
As the Northern Kings howl
the forsaken spirits shudder with envy
and cloak in hideous scowl.

The north remembers its warriors
and all that they had to go through
The rotten souls will be slayed
Before Winter shall turn them blue.

The noble towers will mourn
and guzzle their sins to bow
Winter will come for Lions and Stags
and for those who do not sow.

The stags will have no field to graze
and glaciers will run dry with ice
And the winter will congeal the Lion’s roar
For the roses though, Snow will suffice.

Winter will melt the iron chair
But the Snow will rise with light
To face the frost in coldest nights
And slaughter the frigid Knight.

So the fire burns
And with it burns the flayed man
The Wolves are back
With the wild clan.
